Stephen Wundi: Shooting Guard Leaves Betway Power After One Year

Betway Power’s shooting Guard Stephen Wundi is on his way out, SportsNation can confirm.

The South Sudanese joined Power from UCU Canons after graduating with a Law degree at the Christian University in 2018.

“Am ending my tenure with the club,” Wundi exclusively told SportsNation. “Am going back to South Sudan for other personal engagements.”

He has terminated his two year contract with the club to rejoin the Sudanese league. Whereas he’s still in the country, he hinted to this website that he will be on the road back home this Sunday.

Wundi, last season played 25 league games with Power who lost 4-1 to City Oilers in the best of seven finals at Lugogo.

In a tough season, where he lost his mother, he managed to score 254 points in total for the club – Only Geoffrey Soro (393) and Joseph Ikong (321) scored more.

He grabbed 70 rebounds, made 33 steals and laid 42 assists.

His bitter departure however comes at a time when the club has already confirmed the acquisition of Libe Makala (JKL Dolphins), Syrus Kiviri (Pemba Warriors) and Sam Agutu (KIU Titans).
