Crested Cranes: US Based Nabweteme Summoned For Ethiopia Encounter

US based Sandra Nabweteme has been named in Uganda’s National Women Football team that will face Ethiopia in the qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics.

The Crested Cranes which on Friday entered residential camp in Njeru, will face Ethiopia on the road on April 3 before the return leg three days later at Lugogo.

Nabweteme has won both individual and team accolades with South Western Oklahoma University.

This will be Nabweteme’s first homecoming since departing to US from Kawempe Moslems in 2016.

Yudaya Nakayenze (Simole Women team) and Kazakhstan based Fazila Ikwaput (Bilk Kazygurt) are the non locally based players summoned for the showdown.

If Faridah Bulega’s side manage negotiate past Ethiopia over two legs, will face Cameroon.
