UPL: Shafic Kagimu Doubtful As URA Aim At Express

URA FC captain Shafic ‘Kuchi’ is set to miss out on the club’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter with Express FC on Tuesday.

The player however played 90 minutes against BUL FC, but Coach Sam Ssimbwa has confirmed that he will face a late fitness test – He might have picked an injury in training.

Kagimu has scored six league goals for URA FC this season, including two braces.

Benjamin Nyakojo and Allan Mugalu are still sidelined as Paul Mbowa is suspended after picking a third yellow card.

Speaking ahead of the game, URA’s Ssimbwa who has played and coached Express FC, said:

“Express is a big team but my boys are in good shape and our aim is to win so as we can move to third place.

We lost a battle against URA but the war continues, we wanted the win but it was in vain. We now want to rectify our mistakes.”

Against BUL FC, the tax collectors led through Rwothomio Cromwell’s strike in the second minute but saw their lead taken away by Richard Wandyaka at the hour mark as the sides shared spoils.

Alitho James is expected to return in the posts ahead of Alionzi Nafian who played against BUL FC.

URA are third on the log with 39 points. The club has only lost two league games so far – both 1-0 away to Maroons and KCCA.

URA are on a five game unbeaten run since that 1-0 away loss in Luzira on February 8.
