NBL: City Oilers Turn On Swag In Falcons Rout

Wednesday, April 17
City Oilers 81-34 Falcons
(YMCA Court, Wandegeya)

City Oilers put up a strong performance, managing to showboat in the process, in their convincing 81-34 win over Falcons at YMCA.

The defending champions capitalised on Falcons’ weaknesses who struggled at both ends of the court to pick their second win from as many games in the league.

Falcons who at one stage turned the game into a shooting contest, shot 12-57 on field including just two shots made from outside the three point arc from 21 attempts.

Jimmy Enabu made a quick steal before finding Tonny Drilleba who rolled in the air, defying gravity, before hammering a reverse windmill dunk!

Enabu was again at the giving end, to release Nigeria Francis Chisioke Azolibe who completed the alley hoop with another scintillating dunk to whoa the crowd.

Falcons were limited to just five and eight points in the first and third quarter respectively. They only managed 10 and 11 in second and last quarter in that order.

Drilleba got 21 points, Landry Ndikumana picked 11 points and 14 rebounds while Ivan Muhwezi had 13 points. The beautiful night was crowned with a surprise birthday attack on Enabu who was showered before a cake was cut after the final buzzer.
