Betway Kobs will welcome back instrumental player Joseph Aredo as the side look to extend their lead atop in the National Rugby Sevens.

Aredo, who made his Kobs debut at fullback in 2011, missed the team’s’ victory in the Rujjumba Sevens circuit at Kings park.

The Kobs managed to squeeze their way past the hosts, Pirates, thanks to a late Norbert Okeny try as the Blue Army won their second of three circuits played so far.

With the fourth circuit, dubbed Mileke 7s, to be hosted by Warriors at Legends, Kobs will seek to capitalise on this virtual home advantage to go clear on top.

The Betway sponsored club have collected 63 points, three above Robert Musinguzi’s Pirates.

It should be noted that Kobs finished second last season overall, after winning the series three years in a row.
