CECAFA: Uganda’s Proline FC Bows Out

Its end of the road for Proline FC at the ongoing 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda.

Proline FC, at the tournament on invite, suffered a 2-1 loss to Zambian side Green Eagles in an entertaining affair at Kigali Stadium.

Going into the game, both sides needed victory to confirm their slot at the quarter final, after collecting same points, goal scored and conceded.

Kennedy Musonda hit a brace, a goal in either half, to give Green Eagles a deserved lead. Hakim Kiwanuka headed in to halve the deficit at the 51st minute but it was all Shafic Bisaso’s side could manage.

Proline FC remain third with three points before leaders APR (Rwanda) face bottom placed Heegan FC (Somalia) later in the day.

The side list 1-0 to APR Courtesy of a late Manzi Thierry’s goal before beating Somalia’s Heegan FC 2-0.
