Syrus Kiviiri and Isaac Afidra threw their best punches as Betway Power hammered struggling Our Saviour in a national Basketball League game played at YMCA court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

The pair combined for 60 points in Power’s routine victory, their 10th in a row.

Syrus, who joined Power this season from Warriors, shot 6-12 from the three point range to garner a game high 34 point tally.

Afidra showed glimpses of his past glory days with a double double of 26 points and 11 rebounds.

In a commanding win, Phillip Ameny had 13 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Paul ‘McGyver’ Odong and Guddi ‘Kikiri’ Nasser added 10 and 9 points respectively.

The Betway sponsored side fired 46 of 102 attempts from the field, shot 46% from the free throw line, out rebounded their opponents 70-46 made 13 steals and fetched 55 points off the bench in a commanding performance.

Arnold ‘Mchuda’ Lando’s troops led 54-25 at halftime, shared the third quarter 19-19 and won the last 39-14 to register a big scoreline triumph.

Davis Assimwe had 18 points while Elton Donald and Stephen Wokorach added 14 and 11 respectively in a losing effort for the Kikoni based side that is yet to win any league game this season. This is their 15th loss.

Power have won 8 straight games since their last 68-71 loss to UCU canons on May 8, at Indoor Arena in Lugogo.
