CHAN: We Should Take Somalia Seriously – Coach Mbabazi

Uganda Cranes assistant coach Livingston Mbabazi has said that they have to respect Somalia.

In quest for a spot in 2020 CHAN next year, Cranes face Somalia in a double header with the winner going on face either Burundi or South Sudan.

“We should give respect to the team you are going to play,” Mbabazi said at star times stadium on Monday after the team’s morning training session.

“Somalia is a team that I coached for one year and their national team has been in the camp for so long preparing for this game against Uganda.”

The team has so far played two build up matches,winning 1-0 against URA FC last Thursday and losing 1-0 against Bunyoro kitala team last Saturday.

KCCA FC summoned players who were in Cecafa are expected to join the team later before playing their final build up game with proline FC on Wednesday morning.

The team is expected to fly out for the game in Djibouti on Wednesday night.
