The reasons as to why 5 of the 11 inspected Uganda Premier League clubs were denied licences for the coming 2019/20 season have been found.
The clubs with provisional licenses and five clubs that have not yet met the minimum requirements were given until Friday 26th July 2019 to have fully complied and undergone inspection.
Express FC, which will host at Muteesa II stadium, have been told to substantially improve the playing surface of the ground.
They have also been advised to add furniture of acceptable standards in their dressing rooms. The Licensing committee also ordered the club to rehabilitate the sanitary facilities and to clear bushy areas surrounding the fied of play.
Mbarara City FC, who are facing similar circumstances as it was a season back, have been told to reinstall the perimeter fence.
BUL FC have been told to put in place dressing room for match officials.
The Lugogo based teams – KCCA FC and Proline – who were given provisionals, have been told to practically identify the office of head coach being different from referee’s dressing rooms.
Vipers need to confirm the status of the coaching staff.
It should be noted that a club denied a license shall have a chance to submit an official appeal to the FUFA Club Licensing Appeals Committee.
