UPL: Edirisa Lubega On Target As Proline Edge Onduparaka

Proline FC picked maximum points with a slim 1-0 win against Onduparaka FC in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Lugogo.

New signing Edirisa Lubega Torres came off the bench to give a dominant Matia Lule’s side a needed win.

Proline FC get first points since their return to the top flight. They had lost 3-0 against Mbarara city FC in their league opener.

This was the first game for Onduparaka this season. They had a walkover in what was supposed to be their first game against Police after the Peace keepers failed to show up due to other engagements.

Proline FC had missed open chances before substitute Lubega scored from the freekick.

Proline FC attackers Alfred Leku and Hamis Diego all missed chances as the first half ended goalless.

Onduparaka’s Richard Ayiko nearly came close to scoring but his tap in from Matovu’s loose ball went begging.

Goal scorer Edrisa Lubega had his volley rattle onto the crossbar at the hour mark off a James Begisa cross.
