We respect KCCA FC but we need all three points – Wasswa Bbosa

Express FC will face another stun test when they host KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League on Wednesday, February 17.

The Red Eagles have played Vipers SC, SC Villa and URA FC in their last three matches, collecting 7 points along the way.

At the beginning of the season, there head coach said they will attempt to be competitive this campaign and know that a positive result will put them on the road to achieving that.

“We have been in a training trying to correct the mistakes we made in the game against URA.” Bbosa said during his pre-match press conference.

“We got a lot of chances and we never used them well but what is important was the three points which we got.”

“Our aim against KCCA is to get three more points and that is what we will try to achieve on Wednesday.

Express FC have been helped with the fact that they have a deep squad and have not been troubled by injury concerns of late.

However, Bbosa says they have a few issues but ones that will not bother them.

“We have few Injuries but we are still waiting for the final decision from our doctors so as we know who is definitely out.

“However, we have good players and whoever is chosen to play, will execute the job.”

Express have found life hard against KCCA since Mike Mutebi took over at Lugogo.

Since 2015, the Red Eagles have defeated KCCA FC only once with that victory coming in 2017.

Despite the poor run of results against Wednesday’s opponents, Bbosa who claims to have a good record in Mutebi, is confident his side will triumph.

“Looking at the statistics between me and Mike, he (Mike) has managed to beat me only once and that shows you i am ready to try and beat him again.

“We respect him, his technical team and players but we are home aiming for three points.”

The game will also see Muzamir Mutyaba in the spotlight.

The midfielder spent five years at KCCA FC before moving to Express last month.

Since the move, Mutyaba has managed just substitute appearances and judging by Bbosa’s words, that is not going to change on Wednesday.

“For Mazamiru, we have been monitoring him and he is picking slowly ,so expect to see him play tomorrow.”

Express start the day in 4th place with 12 points from six games while KCCA are 9th, three points adrift.
