CECAFA Women U20: Najjemba Scores Six as Uganda run riot over Poor Djibouti

Uganda U20 Women’s National Team scored for fun in a 13-0 win over Djibouti in the ongoing 2021 CECAFA Women’s U20 Championship at Njeru.

Skipper Fauzia Najjemba made the biggest headlines as she scored six on the day to take her tally to eight in just two games played. She had earlier on scored twice in the opener against Burundi on Saturday.

Ayubu Khalifa’s charges put a dorminant display on the day and the game was all done but done by half time when Uganda led 6-0.

The other goals came from Hadijah Nandago’s brace, Catherine Nagadya, Shamirah Nalugya, Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, Asia Nakibuuka and Zaitun Namaganda as Uganda demolished a poor Djibouti side.

It is two wins from as many for Khalifa’s side following their 5-1 win against Burundi in their opener on Saturday.

For Djibouti, they suffer another heavy defeat in the tournament having lost 7-0 to Ethiopia in their first game on Saturday last week.

Uganda will be back in action on Wednesday as they take on Eriteria in their third game of this tournament.

The six-team inaugural tournament is played on a round robin format and the top team after five rounds will be declared champion.
