Zaga Returns To Vipers, Claims To Have ‘Changed’

Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC has on Wednesday confirmed the return of midfielder Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye.

Zaga is back at Kitende where he left to sign for Police in August 2020.

At Police, his career looked to have blossomed but he went AWOL and never returned to training in the last days of the 2020/21 season.

“I am now a changed player,: Zaga is quoted by the Vipers website.

“I have seen and learned a lot during my time away from Vipers SC and this time I come back a changed person with a different mentality.”

Zaga, coming through Uganda’s U17 side, was one of the hot prospects and many believed that he is the future of Ugandan football after other showings in the Copa Coca-cola.

His performance has however stalled partly due to lack of playing time and his personal addictions.

He gets another bite on the cherry but has to dig deep if he is to break into Roberto Olivieira’s team.

He added: “I know Vipers SC is a team of pressure and competition and l am ready to compete for a place in the first eleven. And l surely know l will make it.”
