AFCON U20: Congo Start Campaign With Win

*South Sudan 1-2 Congo

*Gambia Vs Tunisia – 5pm
*Benin Vs Zambia – 8pm

Congo picked a deserved 2-1 win over South Sudan to get their AFCON U20 campaign off to a positive start.

Déogracias Bassinga opened the scores when he showed composure to loop over the goalkeeper when he was put through on goal.

Sousssou Ilendo doubled Congo’s lead with a well taken penalty to leave the keeper rooted to his line.

South Sudan got a goal back through Paul Mara seven minutes from time after benefiting from calamity defending from Congo.

Congo move joint top with Uganda who beat Central African Republic in similar fashion.

The two joint leaders meet on Thursday, the same day South Sudan and Central African Republic will clash.
