New Dates For Postponed KCCA vs Express Game Confirmed

The Uganda Premier League (SUPL) secretariat has confirmed new dates for the KCCA vs Express game that was postponed last month.

The game was meant to be played on match day one, but was pushed ahead due to KCCA’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

“The said match (KCCA vs Express) has been scheduled and will be played on Sunday 8th October 2023, 3:00pm at MTN Omondi Stadium-Lugogo.(Live on FUFA TV),” SUPL CEO Bernard Bainamani confirmed.

KCCA currently sit in the relegation zone – 14th of 16 teams with no point collected and no goal scored yet, the Kasasiro Boys have so far played only one game which they lost by a goal to nothing, away to BUL in Jinja.

The Lugogo based side however has a realistic chance to climb up to the top five if they can get maximum points from the two homes games they have this week.

KCCA will host Maroons FC on Tuesday, 3rd October before welcoming Express on Sunday.

At the moment, new entrants Kitara FC are leading the table with nine points and five goals from three games.

BUL, in second place also have nine points from three games, but have scored a goal less than the table leaders, while NEC in third position have played three, winning two and losing one.

Vipers in fourth position have played two and won both. The Venoms have a tricky away fixture on Tuesday as they visit stubborn Mbarara City.

URA FC occupy the fifth position on the table, after a one win and two draws in their opening three games.
