Leicester striker Patson Daka netted a brace as Zambia’s Chipolopolo dominated Uganda Cranes in an international friendly.

Between Daka’s brace, Fashion Sakala added another goal in a match held at Al Hamriya Stadium in Sharjah, UAE.

The Cranes fell behind early in the game when Daka converted a penalty kick following a foul by Khalid Aucho in the penalty area.

Sakala then demonstrated his prowess with a headed goal in the 63rd minute, leaving goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa helpless.

Seven minutes later, Daka secured his brace, marking Zambia’s third goal when he headed the ball into an open net after Mutakubwa rushed out to intercept a cross.

The Cranes struggled to pose a significant threat in the game and lacked an effective offensive strategy.

The defeat marks the Cranes second loss under Interim coach Morley Byekwaso after losing 1-0 to Mali the previous Friday.

With FUFA set to appoint a new head coach for the Cranes, focus will now shift to the World Cup Qualifiers that start next month.
