Police FC solidified their position at the top of the FUFA Big League with a well-earned 2-0 victory against Kaaro Karungi on match-day five at Kavumba.

Isaac Ogwang and Herman Wasswa were the heroes for Police as they secured their fourth win of the campaign on Monday.

Ogwang struck early, capitalizing on a precise assist from Samuel Kayongo to break the deadlock, expertly evading his marker before deftly lifting the ball over the goalkeeper.

Ogwang nearly extended the lead just two minutes later, but his attempt, delivered by Duncan Sseninde, struck the crossbar.

In the 82nd minute, Wasswa came on as a substitute for Ogwang and, with remarkable composure, sealed the deal for Police in added time, placing his shot beyond the keeper’s reach.

This victory marks Police’s return to the winning column, following a goalless draw away against Lugazi.

With this result, Police now boasts 13 points, having secured wins against Young Elephant, Jinja North, and Ndejje University earlier in the season.

For Kaaro Karungi, this is their second defeat, having previously lost to Mbale Heroes. They remain on seven points, with two wins against Ndejje University and Calvary, and a draw against Booma.
