Preview: Magera on the wheel

KCCA host NEC at Lugogo embarking on a new chapter with interim coach Jacksok Magera following the dismissal of head coach Sergio Traguil.

The decision to part ways with Traguil was prompted by KCCA FC’s disappointing start to the season, which resulted in four consecutive losses.

Heading into this match, KCCA FC is coming off a 3-1 defeat against league leaders Kitara in Masindi.

Magera, who previously served as an assistant to Traguil, now steps into the role he held during his time at SC Villa last season, where they narrowly missed out on the league title on the final day.

On the other hand, NEC has had an impressive start and they enter this fixture with the momentum of a 2-0 victory over UPDF FC.

NEC doesn’t fear the challenge of facing KCCA, given the latter’s underwhelming performance and the fact that they also play at Lugogo, where they are accustomed to the artificial turf.

NEC has achieved three wins out of four games, with their sole defeat coming against SC Villa.

Notably, two of those victories were achieved at home, with convincing wins over Busoga United (5-0) and UPDF (2-0).
