Video: Magumba Sent Off As Mbarara City, Villa End in Draw

Saturday, November 25
•Mbarara City 0-0 SC Villa
•NEC 1-1 Wakiso Giants

Mbarara City’s defender Bakali Magumba received a straight red card as his team settled for a draw against SC Villa on Saturday.

The League match concluded without any goals at Kakyeka Stadium.

The game’s highlight unfolded dramatically in the 71st minute when Magumba, in a pivotal and regrettable move, lifted his boot significantly high, inadvertently striking Hakim Kiwanuka’s head in a potentially dangerous incident.

Without hesitation, referee Asadu Ssemere swiftly brandished the red card, signaling the end of Magumba’s participation in the game due to his reckless actions.

Chances were few and far between, culminating in a result that reflected the tightly contested nature of the game—a goalless draw that seemed fitting at Kakyeka Stadium.

It’s the fifth draw in eight games for Mbarara City who move to 11th with eight points.

SC Villa remain 10th with nine points, but still have a game in hand against Express FC.
