Senkatuuka Stars With Hat-trick Against Arua Hill

•Bright Stars 3-1 Arua Hill
•SC Villa 2-0 Busoga United

Nelson Senkatuka scored a hat-trick against Arua Hill, securing Bright Stars second win of the season during the ninth match day at Kavumba.

The seasoned sharp-shooter increased his season tally to seven goals, marking his team’s maiden league victory over Arua Hill.

Ibrahim Musa’s goal just before halftime offered some hope, yet his team continues to struggle for an away win.

The hosts began with fervor, with Ssenkatuka converting Fiat Cleophas’ assist within three minutes, placing it beyond Richard Anyama’s reach at the far post.

Yasin Mugume almost scored within the first 60 seconds earlier on, but his effort was tipped into a corner.

Senkatuka netted the second from Kaka’s rebounded effort, denied earlier by the woodwork.

Ibrahim Musa narrowed the gap, tapping in Gaddafi Wahab’s free-kick just before halftime.

At the half-hour mark, the Visitors faced setbacks as Yusuf Makhutum received a straight red card for a high boot challenge on Shafik Kakande, while Ibrahim Orit was stretched off injured.

Thirteen minutes into the second half, Senkatuka completed his hat-trick with a one-touch finish, orchestrated by Sam Ssenyonjo.

However, Ssenyonjo missed an open goal opportunity from Kazanyiro’s through ball, sending his effort inches wide at the far post.

Bright Stars now stand 10th in the league with ten points and will host SC Villa next Wednesday, while Arua Hill remains at the bottom with four points, preparing to host Wakiso Giants next.
