BUL staged a commanding second-half display to secure a 3-0 victory against Wakiso Giants in a league game at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

After a lackluster first half, BUL’s Martin Aprem and Alex Kitata swiftly netted within three minutes into the second half for the Eastern Giants to take command.

Aprem added his second to seal a deserved win and compound Wakiso Giants’ misery.

This triumph propelled BUL to maintain their position at the top of the log with 24 points, moving seven points clear of Vipers who visit UPDF in Bombo on Sunday.

Wakiso Giants languish in the 14th position, and remain winless at home.

Aprem, left unmarked, converted Kwikiriza’s well-placed pass shortly after the restart, putting the visitors ahead.

Kitata then doubled the lead moments later with a tap-in off the rebound from Bashir Sekagya’s failed attempt to handle Nicholas Mwere’s shot.

Aprem completed his brace nine minutes from time with a fine finish, with Kwikiriza at the giving end again.

Wakiso Giants were casual upfront, notably missing Striker Kenneth Kimera, and deployed defender George Kaddu to lead the forward line.

In the first half with few chances, Marvin Mukiibi’s attempt at the edge of the box went wide, while Kaddu’s header lacked power and was cleared by Walter Ochora, denying the hosts an opener.

Titus Sematimba also tried his luck with an attempt that missed its target by a considerable margin as Wakiso Giants made attempts in vain.

BUL’s first-half opportunities fell to Shafiq Kwikiriza, but his two attempts failed to find their target.

Samson Andrew Kigozi, while unmarked, sent his attempt soaring over the bar, missing a chance to pull one back for Wakiso Giants after the Visitors went two up.

Next, Wakiso Giants will face Arua Hill in three days, while BUL is set to visit Express on the same day.
