•URA 2-1 Express
•Wakiso Giants 2-1 BUL

URA FC secured their maiden victory under the guidance of head coach David Obua as they rallied from behind to claim a 2-1 triumph against Express FC at Lugazi Stadium.

Moses Aliro and Laban Tibita found the net, cancelling out Isaac Wagoina’s initial goal, marking a significant win for URA under their new coach.

Before this victory, Obua’s team had previously drawn 2-2 against Kitara at home and suffered a defeat against Vipers at Kitende.

Express took the lead through Wagoina who capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Denis Otim, formerly at Express.

But URA equalized from the penalty spot in the 71st minute after a foul by Express goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto on Joseph Ssemujju, converted by Aliro.

Tibita then sealed the win for URA in the 86th minute, volleying home after Aliro’s headed effort, off a miscued clearance from Isa Lumu, created the opportunity.

Express, without a win in four games, slips to eighth with 12 points after eight games.

URA who have snapped a four-game winless run, climbs to sixth with 13 points after nine games.

What next – URA visit NEC on December 6 at Lugogo while Express host BUL a day before at Wankulukuku.
