*Bright Stars 1-1 SC Villa
*Express 1-1 BUL
*Arua Hill 2-2 Wakiso Giants

Bright Stars and SC Villa settled for a point after a 1-1 draw in their ninth match at the unplayable, sodden Kavumba grounds.

In the 18th minute, Nelson Senkatuka gave the hosts the lead with a penalty before Ivan Bogere equalized just before halftime.

This draw extended Stars’ unbeaten run to five games, while Villa continued their winless away streak with their fourth draw in as many outings.

The challenging conditions of the slippery grounds led to fewer chances in the game, making possession difficult for both sides.

Senkatuuka scored his 8th goal of the season from the penalty spot after being fouled by Edward Masembe in the forbidden area.

Bogere scored his first goal of the season two minutes before halftime, guiding Keneth Semakuka’s cross into the net with a precise touch at the near post.

The second half saw Villa dominating but struggling due to the slippery pitch conditions.

Rogers Kiwanuka missed an opportunity to tap the ball into an empty net after slipping, unintentionally netting the ball with his hand instead of his leg.

Edward Masembe made a crucial save for Villa by blocking Senkatuka’s attempt, which was destined for an empty net.

Both teams maintained their positions in the standings before the match, with Bright Stars set to face KCCA at Lugogo on Monday the 11th.

Villa, with only two days to prepare, will play their rescheduled match against Express on Friday at Wankulukuku.
