Kampala Queens head coach Charles Ayiekho Mbuzi will be hoping for a positive response as his side takes on Lady Doves in his second league game on Saturday morning in Masindi.
Ayiekho’s side suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Kawempe Muslim as the league returned this week on Wednesday.
That loss, their first this season saw them drop to the second on the log as they remained on 10 points after five games.
It was a poor start for Ayiekho, who was handling his first game at the club.
Against Kawempe Muslim, the team was outclassed and they were the second best on the day they will live to forget.
And now, the game against Lady Doves comes after a few days and it presents another huge task for the former Simba Queens coach.
The latest news from Kampala Queens is the departure of star forward Fazila ikwaput, who left for India and she leaves at a crucial time.
Ikwaput’s departure means Ayiekho will rely more on Zainah Nandede, Elizabeth Nakigozi, Catherine Nagadya to hunt for goals.
On the other hand, the hosts, Lady Doves will be seeking to pile more misery on the defending Champions.
The game against Kampala Queens will be Lady Doves first game ever since November last year.
The Masindi based team have had enough resting time and that will drive them to stage a better performance against Kampala Queens.
They are currently fifth with 6 points and victory against KQ will see them move to nine points as they seek to close the gap at the top.
