In a highly-anticipated return to the National Basketball League (NBL), Ivan Lumanyika is set to make waves once again, marking his comeback after a hiatus.

Lumanyika, who last graced the court for City Oilers during the 2022 campaign, faced an untimely end to his season due to injury.

The seasoned player has now inked a deal with Ndejje University Angels, a move that is poised to inject newfound strength into John Omondi Mapeesa’s squad.

Lumanyika joins forces with a formidable roster, including notable names such as Samuel Ajak, Joseph Kumbai, Gatwang Thuok, and Junior Alinaitwe.

Heralded as one of the premier big men in the league, Lumanyika, a former standout for JKL, Power, and UCU, brings a wealth of experience and skill to his new team.

When in optimal condition, he is recognized as a force to be reckoned with on the court.

Ndejje University Angels distinguished themselves as the sole team to overcome City Oilers in the regular season last year.

Their journey continued into the playoffs, though they faced a formidable challenge in the Quarterfinals, ultimately succumbing to Our Saviour.

Lumanyika’s return to the NBL not only marks a personal triumph over adversity but also promises to reshape the dynamics of the league, with fans eagerly anticipating the impact he will have on Ndejje University Angels’ quest for success in the upcoming season.
