In a spectacular display of skill and dominance, KIU Titans secured their first victory in the National Basketball League, outclassing UCU Canons with an impressive 83-52 triumph at Lugogo.

From the outset, the Titans asserted their control, finishing the first quarter with a commanding 25-15 lead.

By halftime, they had extended their advantage to 41-24, setting the stage for a showboating performance that delighted the crowd with dazzling plays.

The Titans who welcomed back guard Joel Lukoji, showcased their prowess from beyond the arc, hitting 11 of their 30 attempts from deep.

Kasereko Tembo emerged as the star player, contributing a game-high 23 points, while Edgar Munaaba and Ahmed Kassa added 21 and 11 points, respectively. Munaaba secured a double-double by grabbing an impressive 17 rebounds.

On the opposing side, UCU Canons faced challenges in moving the ball and made regrettable decisions on the court.

Jerry Kayanga and Marvin Jesse Okurut managed to score 10 points each, but it was not enough to counter the Titans’ dominant performance.

This victory marks a significant turnaround for KIU Titans, who had started the previous season with a defeat against Nam Blazers.
