•KIU Rangers Vs KCCA Leopards – 5pm
•JT Lady Jaguars Vs UCU Lady Canons – 7pm
•KIU Titans Vs City Oilers – 9pm

The stage is set for an electrifying clash as the KIU Rangers gear up to face off against the KCCA Leopards in the highly anticipated matchup at the National Basketball League on Friday.

But KCCA will be without guard Perus Nyamwenge who is said to have travelled out of the Country.

Nyamwenge and Uwineza Ninette joined KCCA Leopards at the start of the season from KIU Rangers.

Nyamwenge has been a standout performer for KCCA already, averaging an impressive 18 points across the three games she’s started.

Notably, KCCA’s head coach, Rogers Sserunyigo, previously helmed the KIU Rangers before his mid-season departure last year.

Meanwhile, Ninette, a former captain at KIU, will undoubtedly be eager to showcase her prowess against her old teammates.

Both teams enter the contest with unblemished records, having secured victories in their opening three games of the season.

KIU Rangers, beaten finalists against JKL Lady Dolphins last season, have displayed formidable form with wins against Miracle Ravens, Magic Stomers, and JT Lady Jaguars.

On the flip side, the KCCA Leopards have been equally dominant, notching victories over JT Lady Jaguars, UCU Lady Canons, and A1 Challenge.

However, the absence of shooting guard Maureen ‘Momo’ Amoding, sidelined due to a wrist injury sustained in a previous game against UCU Lady Canons, also pose a challenge for the Leopards.

Despite Amoding’s absence, newcomer Margaret Baagala has seamlessly stepped up to fill the scoring vacuum, impressing with an 11-point debut performance against JT Lady Jaguars.

Supported by seasoned players like Martha Soigi, captain Susan Becca Aanyu, and Sylvia Nakazibwe, as well as rising Netball talents Faridah Kadondi and Asinah Kabendela, KCCA remains confident in their ability to secure victory.

However, KIU Rangers are banking on stellar performances from key players such as Rose Amaniyo, averaging an impressive 18 points and 14 rebounds this season, alongside stalwarts Sharon Kirabo, Elizabeth Aguti, and Fildauce Namuleme.

With both teams boasting formidable lineups and an unyielding determination to maintain their winning streaks, it promises to be a riveting showdown.
