BUL Football Club moved closer to their first-ever Uganda Premier League title with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Gaddafi at Njeru.

The pivotal moment came seven minutes before full-time when Lawrence Tezikya seized the opportunity, slotting in a rebound after Gaddafi’s goalkeeper, Abdu Magada, made an impressive save from a header.

Prior to Tezikya’s heroics, BUL had encountered frustration as they squandered several promising opportunities, leaving fans on edge.

Ibrahim Orit’s goal was disallowed for offside, and Martin Aprem was thwarted by the woodwork.

Nevertheless, when Tezikya found the back of the net, jubilation erupted both on the field and in the stands, with celebrations lasting until the final whistle.

Meanwhile, the defending champions, Vipers, were held to a stalemate, further boosting BUL’s title hopes.

With just two games remaining, against Mbarara City and Busoga United, BUL now holds a precarious one-point lead at the top of the table.

The stage is set for a thrilling finale, as BUL stands on the brink of writing their own history.
