JKL Lady Dolphins clinched their 20th win of the season in the National Basketball League with a commanding 82-48 triumph over the UPDF Lady Tomahawks on Wednesday at Lugogo.

Leading 21-13 after the first quarter, JKL never relinquished control as they dominated throughout the game.

Key contributions came from the dynamic trio of Brenda Ekone, Hope Akello, and Evelyn Nakiyinji, who scored 15, 13, and 10 points respectively, securing double-digit performances to spearhead the victory.

JKL who are the top seed heading into the playoffs, boasts an impressive 20-1 record.

Their only defeat of the season came at the hands of the KIU Rangers in the first round.

The Lady Dolphins will conclude their regular season with a final game against the already relegated Kampala University Ladies on June 29.

UPDF struggled to find rhythm, with their best run being a 5-0 spurt, and they turned the ball over 42 times, averaging nearly a turnover per minute.

Despite the win, JKL only managed to score one three-pointer (by Rita Imanishimwe) out of 17 attempts.

For UPDF, only Sandra Asiimwe scored in double digits with 13 points. Dorah Nakijoba and Mutesi Nasiimu each grabbed 10 rebounds, with Nasiimu also contributing nine points.
