Boxer Bob Turyatemba Ready for Dubai Showdown

Bob Turyatemba, a promising 19-year-old boxer, is full of confidence ahead of his upcoming fight this Saturday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Turyatemba departed Uganda on Thursday, setting his sights on a significant Super Lightweight bout against Majid ‘Cerastes’ Al-Naqbi.

Turyatemba, a rising star in the boxing world, is entering his fourth professional fight. His previous victories against Ayub Khan, Paul Kimani, and Kenneth Wakabi have earned him a reputation as a formidable competitor.

Training under the guidance of coach Henry Kalungi at the Sparks Boxing Club, Turyatemba hones his skills at Big Ben Gym in Kitintale.

Recently completing his Form Six at Kololo SS, he balances his boxing career with his academic pursuits. His efforts are backed by sponsorship from Inspired Brands, which supports his journey in the sport.

“We have had adequate preparations and my fighter is in good shape ahead of the fight,” said coach Kalungi. “He is a smart fighter with great ambitions and always learning. It will not be an easy fight against a more experienced fighter, but we have given Bob all the techniques he needs to go up against anyone.”

His opponent, Majid Al Naqbi, has a solid record, having won 10 of his 12 professional fights. Al Naqbi’s two defeats were against Aaron Ssewalu of Uganda and John Lawrence Ordonio of the Philippines, according to Boxrec.
