Bika: Ssekajugo on Target as Ngabi Clinch 5th Title

Ngabi Nsamba defeated Mpiindi 1-0 in the Bika football finals at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Skipper Viane Ssekajugo’s early goal was the decisive strike that crowned Ngabi as champions.

This victory marked Ngabi Nsamba’s fifth Bika Bya Buganda title.

The game was an end-to-end affair in the initial minutes, with Ngabi appearing more determined to make history.

Just seven minutes into the first half, Ngabi captain Viane Ssekajugo tapped in a well-delivered Sula Matovu cross after a masterful counter-attack by Bruno Bunyaga.

Mpiindi’s Juma Ssebadduka and Allan Mugalu attempted to level the score but could not get past Hassan Matovu in goal.

Mpiindi returned eager for an equalizer in the second half, but their relentless attacks yielded no results.

After the narrow victory, Ngabi Nsamba now boasts five Bika Bya Buganda titles. They were awarded 9 million Ugandan Shillings.

Mpiindi took home 7 million Ugandan Shillings.

In the classification match, Omutima Omusagi edged out Nkima to finish third, earning 5 million Ugandan Shillings, while Nkima walked away with 3 million.
