Munguchi Dumps Relegated Gaddaffi For ‘Proper’ KCCA Project

Steven Munguchi has signed a three-year contract with KCCA, from Gaddafi that was relegated back to the second division in the just concluded 2023/24 season.

Born on the 24th of June, 1995, the 28-year-old attacking midfielder has agreed to stay at the Lugogo-based side until the end of the 2026/27 season.

“I am happy to sign for KCCA FC. It is such a great feeling to be part of this club with a very rich history, Munguchi told the club media upon signing for the 13-times Uganda Premier League Champions.

“I know the demands for playing for a club like KCCA FC and I am ready to live up to that.”

“The club has a plan and proper systems as I was able to tell through the interactions I have had with the manager.”

“I have some friends at the club and I am certain they will help me to fit in. I can not wait to get started.”

With the Soldier Boys last season, Munguchis scored two goals and provided 4 assists for the Jinja-based club in the UPL.

Munguchi has also previously played for URA, Bright Stars, Kakiri TC and Kick It Soccer Academy in Wakiso.

He becomes KCCA’s second official signing so far, after the Kasasiro Boys also lured Shafik Kwikiriza to Lugogo from BUL. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa also extended his contract with the club.
