SC Villa is bolstering its backroom staff ahead of the 2024/25 season by bringing in Serbian coach Momcilo Medic.
SportsNation has learned that Momcilo Medic will serve as the assistant to his compatriot, head coach Dusan Stojanovic, pending official confirmation from the club.
Medic brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent over two decades coaching across Africa.
Notably, he was the assistant coach of South African giants Orlando Pirates from 2004 to 2006.
His extensive resume includes head coaching positions at Burundian club Flambeau du Centre, Royal Eagles and Tshakuma in South Africa, Messager in Burundi, Dynamos in Zimbabwe, King Faisal and Ashanti Gold in Ghana, and Royal Knights and Royal Sportive in South Africa and Ghana, respectively.
Medic has already been spotted in the Country, attending the ongoing CAF A licensing course at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The Jogoos, battling to retain a couple of key players, will hope that this new addition strengthen their team ahead of Continental and local engagements.
