Uganda Premier League outfit UPDF FC have finalized the acquisition of frontman Daniel Kitara, SportsNation can reliably confirm.
He makes the switch from Northern Regional League side Pajule Lions after just one season.
Kitara has inked a three year agreement that will keep him at the club through 2027.
He had an impressive season for Pajule Lions scoring seven league goals and two in the Uganda Cup in 14 games.
He guided his side to a Northern Regional League final though they lost 2-1 to Northern Gateway.
It will be his inaugural campaign in the top flight league having featured in third division throughout his career.
He joined Pajule Lions from Northern Elephant another Northern Regional League. He also played for Ndejje University in the University Football League.
UPDF FC is reinvigorating their approach after a disappointing last season.
