Edrine Opaala Returns To Busoga United

In a noteworthy return, midfielder Edrine Opaala is back with Busoga United after a brief spell with BUL, The-SportsNation has learnt.

Opaala, 19, had left Busoga United in July last year, signing a two-year deal with BUL, but struggled to secure playing time under Coach Abbey Kikomeko.

Opaala’s journey in the spotlight began when he clinched the Most Valuable Player award during the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola while playing for Jinja SS.

His subsequent promotion to Busoga United’s senior team marked three seasons before his move to BUL.

Additionally, Busoga United has welcomed back Hassan Kintu, who returns from the FUFA Big League side Blacks Power.

As the team finished the first round third from the bottom with 15 points, just one point away from safety, these signings aim to bolster their squad.

Busoga United is set to kick off their Uganda Cup campaign against Bushenyi Veterans on Wednesday.
