Samuel Kato: Former KCCA Defender Back In UPL

Former KCCA FC defender Samuel Kato Nemeyimana is set to return to the Uganda premier League, The-SportsNation can reliably confirm.

The lanky defender who departed KCCA FC surprisingly in 2021 after his impressive debut in the CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda, is on the radar of SC Villa.

Kato who has been a top priority for URA FC could be settling in at SC Villa as the defender is currently training with the record league champions.

Nemeyimana joined Rwanda’s Bugesera FC on a two years contract and he has been a free agent after his contract expired.

Kato Nemeyimana is expected to ink a two years contract with the Joogo’s and his expected to fill the voids left by Gift Fred who recently joined Tanzanian giants Yanga Africans.

Kato has recently featured for Buddo Secondary School in the Copa Coca cola and won the 2018 edition as their captain.

Kato is also a CECAFA Kagame club winner with KCCA FC in 2019.
