Mawokota will be hoping to end their winless streak when they welcome Busiro at Buwama grounds on Sunday in the Masaza Cup.
Coached by Richard Malinga, Mawokota are winless in their past three games, notably their recent 3-1 loss to Mawogola last weekend.
It has been a poor run for Mawokota, who started this year’s edition on a high when they beat defending champions Busiro 3-1 in the opener and also took care of Gomba.
But since then, things have turned around as they have looked a shadow of themselves.
They drew goalless against Ssese and Kabula respectively and were thrashed 3-1 by Mawogola last weekend away from home to add to their misery- That poor run saw them drop to third and are still on eight points.
Pressure is now on head coach Malinga, who is handling the side for the fourth consecutive season.
And against Busiro, there must be a quick reaction more so Infront of the home fans who showed their discontent following their loss against Mawogola last weekend.
Mawokota will bank on the fact that they beat the same Busiro side in the opener at Wankulukuku this year.
For Busiro, they picked their first win recently against Mawogola, drew goalless against Gomba last weekend and will be hoping to extend that good run.
Elsewhere, Buddu will be hoping for back to back wins when they take a visit to Kooki on Sunday.
Buddu picked a deserved 2-0 win against Buluuli last weekend away from home, a win that sent them top of the Masengere group with now nine points.
But before that victory, they had been beaten by Kyadondo at their own home in Masaka.
And against Kooki, there will be no room for error as they seek to continue their dorminance in the Masengere group.
