UCU Canons are set to face off against KCCA Panthers on Wednesday at Lugogo in what promises to be a closely contested National Basketball League (NBL) match.

The Canons will be looking to avenge their narrow 65-69 defeat from the first round on March 2nd.

Both teams approach this fixture eager to rebound from recent losses.

KCCA Panthers suffered a setback against the JKL Dolphins, while the UCU Canons fell 93-109 to the Nam Blazers.

Despite the defeat, the Canons put up a commendable effort but were ultimately undone by lapses in defense, which allowed the Blazers numerous easy baskets and open shots.

Heading into this game, both teams hold identical records of 10 wins and 7 losses from 17 games, adding extra weight to the contest as they vie for a stronger position in the league standings.

The Canons will rely heavily on key players Peter Sifuma and Ibanda Lwabaga, both of whom have been consistent scorers throughout the season.

Their performance will be crucial if UCU is to secure a much-needed victory and avenge their earlier loss to KCCA.
