UPL: Kirinya Jinja Static Despite Win Over Bright Stars

Kirinya Jinja remains eighth on the table despite beating Bright Stars in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at The Mighty Arena in Jinja.

Jungu Methodius scored for the visitors after Joel Madondo and Isma Kawawulo had given the hosts a two goal cushion.

This, is the first victory for Kirinya against Bright Stars who had won three of their five meetings. The other two games had ended in draws.

Bright Stars who had Juma Ssebaduka sent off, had won 4-1 in the reverse fixture at Mwererwe last year.

The victory sees Kirinya bounce back after losing 2-0 to KCCA FC in their last league engagement.

Bright Stars on the other hand came into the game on the back of a 2-1 against Nyamityobora FC.

Kirinya are eighth on the 16 team log with 36 points, level with BUL FC who have a superior goal difference.

This was the eighth loss for Bright Stars who slip to 11th on the table, with 31 points.
