Proline FC will be targeting direct promotion back to the Uganda Premier League when they visit Kabale Sharp on the road in the last day of the season.
Shafic Bisaso’s charges suffered a minor set back after being pegged back by a one all draw against Kansai Plascon, in a game which a win would have guaranteed their promotion.
The side however have a second chance – Beat Kabale Sharp and go up.
Proline occupy top spot with 39 points, Kansai (38) and Dove FC (37) all still in contention for the one direct promotion slot. The second and third teams in a group qualify for playoffs.
“Its a big game on our side – we are also facing a strong side but we have the edge against them,” said Coach Bisaso. “The players are aware of what is at stake, we don’t need any extra motivation. We are going out there to win.”
Proline will have Arnold Sserunjogi back but Ismail Zziwa and Sam ‘Tiyo’ Kintu are sidelined.
It should be noted that Proline FC have already punched above their weight in the Uganda Cup after beating Kyetume in shootouts to reach their first finals.
