Warriors were impressive as they downed Our Saviour 95-54 in one of the National basketball league games played on Saturday at the Indoor Arena in Lugogo.

The Kyambogo based side, got off their blocks to lead 24-7 at the first quarter before taking a 47-19 lead at halftime.

Ronnie Mutebi’s side proved no match in the next two quarters to down a side that is still in search for their first win from 14 attempts.

Michael Buzangu led the way with 22 points, Gatwetch Kutai had 21 points while Samad Imran contributed nine points and 16 rebounds for Warriors.

Wilberforce Pirowth (16), Davis Assimwe (13) and Stephen Wokorach (12) scored double points for Our Saviour but the effort proved to be consolation.

The victory, second for against Our Savior after beating the side 88-40 on June 2 at YMCA, is the 11th out of 13 games for Warriors.

Sarah Ageno came off the bench to clinch a double double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, Brenda Kayaga added 17 points as UCU Lady Canons roared past UMU Ravens.

KCCA Leopards needed overtime to overcome a resolute Angels team that had Patricia Alado and Cate Nakiru score 18 and 10 points respectively.

Brian Namake led JKL with 24 points to down KCCA men 87-76 in another closely contested affair.

Sharing Youth takes the day with a century win – obliterating Kampala University 112-68, after shooting 51% from the field with Caesar Kizito scoring 23 points while Alton Assimwe and Amilcar Ndemesha collecting 14 each.
