CECAFA: Green Eagles Ready To Deal With KCCA FC In Semifinal Clash

Zambian side Green Eagles are ready to negotiate past KCCA FC as the sides go head to head on Friday in a 2019 CECAFA Kagame cup semifinal.

Green Eagles beat Gor Mahia 2-1 to reach this stage after protruding through a group that had Uganda’s Proline FC.

The team’s coach Aggrey Chiyangi, as quoted by Lusaka Times says that his side has handled the matter step by step.

“When you go for a tournament, the big picture is to win the tournament,” Chiyangi said. “But you have to start crossing the rivers that will make you reach the end.”

“So far, we have crossed so many rivers and we are now remaining with one river which we have to cross for us to reach the final.

“We are taking every stage step by step, so we have dealt with the quarterfinals, yes, now we have to deal with the semifinals.”

KCCA on the other hand, beat Rayon Sport 2-1 to reach the semifinals after topping a group that had Mukura, Azam and Bandari.

Winner between the sides will face victory between Azam and DR Congo’s AS Maniema who will face off the other semis.
