It was shocking news in the football circles when Lady Doves sacked their head coach Olive Mbekeka.

Mbekeka had guided Lady Doves, in their debut season in top flight, to both league and domestic cup final.

Notably, the Masindi based side had not lost a game in the league prior to the play off stage.

The-SportsNation.com sources have learnt that the root cause of Mbekeka’s fallout was actually because she went ahead and attended the just concluded FUFA youth Course which her bosses hadn’t approved.

Mbekeka, just like the public, only got to know about her sacking in the news.

Yet to receive an official communication from her former bosses at Doves, news coming in is that Asubo Gafford Ladies FC is desperately hunting for the gaffer’s signature to for the 2019/20 season kicking off early next month.

Currently, Fred Musiime is the interim coach of Lady Doves.
