The two days FUFA organised workshop which was held to build capacity across Uganda based players intermidiaries, climaxed on Wednesday.

Over 50 participants took part in the workshop which was held at Jevine Hotel in Ndeeba on September 10-11.

FUFA first Vice president Justus Mugisha, giving the closing remarks, advised the participants to always be confident, trustworthy and hard working.

He also asked them to remain close to the game off football.

“You have come into business and you will make money,” he added. “You must be close to players, advise them, know what they want and what is good for them and support them financially.”

This is one of the Federation’s step into their dream to become the number one football nation in Africa both on and off the pitch.

Mugisha believes that this workshop can open doors for many players to turn professional at a young age.

“This course we have been missing it hugely, many players are going to become professional, many will go to EUROPE at young age and they will play very good football for Uganda Cranes.”

Mugisha assured the trained intermediaries about the availability of talent in Uganda.

“As an official for international schools football, I have observed that Ugandans are more talented than any other country in Africa.”

FUFA has been working with about five registered intermediaries but the number may rise hugely if the workshop participants reach the needed passmark.
