Proline: Bogere On CAF Squad Despite Row With Bosses

Proline’s prolific striker Ivan Bogere has been included in the club’s 18-player squad to face AS Kigali in the CAF Confederation Cup Qualifiers amidst row with top bosses.

The striker, topscorer for the club in Big league last season, has seen his relationship with the club administration deteriorate.

Bogere who scored the three goals against Masters Security that sent Proline to this stage, has been an irregular member since.

He was brought on against Mbarara in the league opener and never played against Onduparaka on matchday two at Lugogo.

“Bogere has refused to sign a new contract which has since annoyed his bosses,” a source at the club told the-SportsNation.com.

Bogere still has a running contract with Proline, that has three years remaining, but it is understood that the Club wants him to sign another contract that has new terms including a buyout close of Sh38M.

The player and his agent have been against the new offer, and the negotiations have stalled.

He was recently chased away from the club training last week by the coach who claimed that he will not train someone he will not be using since he has administrative issues to sort.

It is also said that Bogere has been out of favour since the departure of coach and father-figure Shafic Bisaso.

With the arrival of new signing Edirisa Lubega Torres, although he is not on the CAF Confederation Cup team, and other strikers like Hamis Diego Kiiza and Hakim Kiwanuka, the club may feel that they have enough armoury.
