CECAFA U20: Hippos Too Good For Djibouti

Uganda Hippos eased past Djibouti in their second game of group A of the ongoing CECAFA U20 championship.

The hosts beat Djibouti 5-1 in a game played at Pece Memorial Stadium, Gulu.

KCCA youngster Steven Sserwadda bagged a brace, Justine Opiro, Isma Mugulusi and Ivan Bogere scored one each in the encounter.

Earlier in the second Stanza, Hippos goalkeeper Dennis Otim saved Djibouti’s penalty after Derrick Kiggundu had fouled Ahmed in the box.

Khalid Osman scored for Djibouti to make it 3-1 before substitute Isma Mugulusi who scored from a sole effort run and Opiro put the game to bed.

Opiro limped off after sustaining a thigh injury.

Hippos will return to action on Wednesday playing Sudan in the last group game as Eritrea entertain Djibouti at the Pece stadium in Gulu.
