Big League: Katwe United Goalkeeper Dhaira Suspended

Katwe United goalkeeper Eric Dhaira has been suspended by FUFA Disciplinary panel, it’s official.

Dhaira has been received a two-match suspension after found guilty of violent conduct against the referee in a Big league game against MYDA FC.

"The FUFA Competition Disciplinary Panel has suspended Katwe Utd GK Eric Dhaira for 2 competition matches in addition to the sanctions by the referee & has been warned on his future conduct," reads a statement from FUFA, in part.
"He was found guilty for violently pulling the center referee in the FBL match against MYDA FC."

On November 3, Katwe United’s goalkeeper was sent off in a 2-0 loss against MYDA at Elgon View Hotel with Ibrahim Nsimbe on target for the Mbale-based outfits.

Consequently, he missed Katwe’s 1-0 loss to Mbale Heroes/Kiboga Young on Thursday with Nicholas Ssendinga in supporting role.

When it rains, it surely pours – The punishment on Katwe United finds the club battling relegation after a suffering their fourth straight loss of the season.

The ‘Tuli Banyivu” club, is at the foot of Elgon group with just four points from six games.

Katwe United are set to host Paidha Black Angelz before visiting Kataka FC.
