Villa got off to a strong start when they were two up under 13 minutes; Derrick Ndahiro’s cross caught Onduparaka’s defence flat-footed for Kalyowa to head for the opener in the sixth minute.

Muwawu was at the end of Ibrahim Kibumba’s delivery to tap in from close range as the record league winners doubled their advantage.

Malingumu pulled one back to halve the deficit for the Carterpillars off Joel Jangeyambe’s assist with still 24 minute on the clock.

Villa put the game beyond Onduparaka’s reach when the home defender Dudu had regained possession from Ambrose Kirya’s misplaced forward pass – Dudu’s weak back pass to goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa was intercepted by Badiro who booted into the net for the final nail.

The visitors also had Kalyowa put through on goal by a long ball over the top but his attempt to loop the keeper was blocked.

Onduparaka lacked intensity but had a fair share of chances: Malingumu headed an inch wide at the far post off Rajab Kakooza’s cross before the latter fired wide from close range after a neat low pass inside the box.

Captain Wahab Gadafi had his freekick finger tipped over the crossbar by Saidi Keni.

The loss, is the fifth for Onduparaka since joining top flight.
