JKL Lady Dolphins centre Namuwaya Muhayi is confident as her side prepare to take on UCU Lady Canons in game five of the best of seven 2019 NBL Finals this Friday at Lugogo.

JKL lost game one before taking a 2-1 lead but were pegged back on Wednesday when UCU won 69-58 to level the series 2-2.

JKL trailed from onset and shot 25-of-73 from the field in a losing effort.

“We never shared the ball a lot and failed to play good defense,” Muhayi reflected.

“We were in our comfortable zone that we need to get out of but am confident that as they (UCU) managed to level up, we too have the chance to win. We want to win two games and yes why not.”

Muhayi managed eight points in game four from 4-of-12 shooting from the field, picked six rebounds and made three assists.

The former KCCA Leopards player added:

“As an individual, I have to work more with the guards and make sure that I convert every possession that I get then fight more for rebounds.”

JKL bigs – Muhayi, Stella Oyella, Hope Akello and Atulinda Moureen – will have to play for their shooters if they are to have a chance on Friday after shooting 4-of-23 from beyond the three-point arc.

The team was also out rebounded 42-48 and will have to double their efforts if they are to stop Nicholas Natuhereza’s Lady Canons.
