JKL Lady Dolphins Seek To Force Decider Against UCU

Can JKL Lady Dolphins force a decider against UCU?

Game six
Sunday, December 8
*UCU Lady Canons Vs JKL Lady Dolphins – 5PM
(UCU lead 3-2, best of seven)

UCU Lady Canons and JKL Lady Dolphins will renew their rivalry in game six of the 2019 Women NBL final series at YMCA court in Wandegeya. The Lady Dolphins will go all out to force a decider as UCU will be targeting triumph to seal business

The Canons won game five 68-61 to close in on title and will be crowned champions if they emerge victors on Sunday.

JKL, coached by Henry Malinga, will go all out to put Canons’ champagne on ice.

The defending champions trailed for most part of game five at Lugogo on Friday until Rita Imanishimwe who ended the evening with 16 points, started firing.

The side shot 33% from the field and fetched only 10 points off the bench, something which they should work to improve if they are to force a decider and keep their chances of defending their maiden title alive.

UCU Lady Canons on the other hand, despite leading 18-6 after the first quarter and 38-23 at the long break, were made to fight for the victory in a game they almost squandered their big lead.

UCU would have won comfortably, at least not as the scoreline of 68-61 suggested, but all that is in the past and the side will not be expected to take any further risks when the opening buzzer goes at 5PM.

Probable Starting five

*JKL – Flavia ‘Flirsh’ Oketcho, Brenda Nakitende, Ritah Imanishimwe, Stella Oyella, Hope Akello.

UCU – Ruth Noela Letaru, Rhoda Naggita, Zainah Lokwameri, Sarah Ageno, Rose Akon
